Sample Statements

Regular Client-Side Statement
All statements that we produce have client-side and office-side copies. This is an example of a standard client-side statement with no special features.

Regular Office-Side Statement
All statements that we produce have client-side and office-side copies. This is an example of an office-side statement which contains a quick reference to file-to-date and year-to-date totals and other internal references.

Trust Statement
This is an example of a client-side statement for a file with a trust account. Each file can have both a trust and retainer account on the same file. Trust and Retainer money can be transferred manually or automatically to pay for all statement charges or specifically for fee statement charges or cost statement charges.

Retainer Statement
This is an example of a client statement with a retainer account. Each client can have both a trust and retainer account on the same file. Trust and Retainer money can be transferred manually or automatically to pay for all statement charges or specifically for fee statement charges or cost statement charges. Non-statement charges are manually paid from the retainer account or the trust account, whichever is appropriate.

Installment Statement
Interbill can tailor your bills to your client’s ability to pay. This statement is an example of one type of installment billing where the client is being billed a minimum payment of $300, regardless of the amount of the bill. The installment is integrated into the billing statement. Other installment types are Collection Installment Billing, Retainer Installment Billing and Evergreen Retainer Billing. Evergreen Retainers are retainers that are billed when the retainer balance reaches a minimum amount specified by you.

Summary Statement
This is an example of a client statement for a summary file. Summary files allow you to bill files together when your client needs you to summarize all activity for certain files. The client can pay with one check and that check will be applied to each file, either on our default payment allocation method or a method you set up for the summary file. Each statement that is linked to a summary file is printed directly after the summary file in the order presented on the Summary Statement.

Task Statement
This is an example of a client statement for a file that utilizes task-based billing. Many attorneys have to use Task Billing to group services and costs by task codes. Many insurance companies and some corporations require this type of statement. Our Task Statements include budgets plus cumulative fees and costs as well as current fees and costs. Task Statements are available in electronic format and can be submitted electronically to the client by Interbill.
